Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and Mosaix Learning Strategies LLC (“Mosaix”, “we”, “us”), a New York limited liability company, covering your use of MILO — our online learning platform at www.milo-learning.com. By creating an account or using MILO, you agree to them. If you are agreeing on behalf of an employer or another organization, you are confirming that you may bind it, and “you” means that organization.

1. Your account

You need an account to use MILO. Give us accurate details, keep your password to yourself, and tell us promptly at MILO@mosaixlearning.com if you think someone else has got into your account. You are responsible for what happens under your account.

You must be at least 16 years old. MILO is built for adults learning at work, and it is not directed at children.

2. Packages, billing and renewal

MILO has a free package and several paid ones. The paid packages are subscriptions, billed monthly in advance, and the price and what each one includes are shown on the packages page before you buy.

• Renewal. A paid package renews automatically each month, and your card is charged, until you cancel. You can cancel at any time.
• Payment. Payments are taken by Stripe, Inc. We never see or store your full card number. Stripe’s own terms apply to the payment itself.
• Changing package. If you move between paid packages mid-month, Stripe prorates the difference, charging or crediting you for the unused part of the period.
• Cancelling. You keep the package until the end of the period you have paid for, and you are not charged again. See our refunds and cancellation policy.
• Failed payments. If a payment fails, we keep your package active while Stripe retries. If it is never paid, the package ends and your account returns to the free one.
• Price changes. We may change prices. We will tell you by email at least 30 days beforehand, and the change takes effect at your next renewal — so you can cancel first if you would rather not pay it.
• Tax. Prices exclude sales tax where it applies; any such tax is added at checkout.

3. What you may and may not do

Use MILO for learning and for running learning. Do not:

• share your login, or let people who have not paid use a paid account;
• copy, scrape, resell or redistribute content from MILO outside the platform;
• upload anything unlawful, defamatory, hateful, or infringing someone’s rights;
• harass other members, or misuse the community, messaging or classroom features;
• upload malware, probe our security, or try to reach data that is not yours;
• use MILO to build a competing product, or to train a machine-learning model on content you did not create.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these rules. Where it is reasonable to do so we will warn you first, but serious cases — anything unlawful, or anything putting other members at risk — we act on immediately.

4. Your content

Anything you create in MILO — the courses and pathways you author, your posts, replies, messages, assessments, profile and uploads — stays yours. You give us permission to host, store, copy, display and share it as the product needs in order to work: showing your post to the community you posted it in, delivering your course to the people you enrolled, backing it all up, and so on. That permission lasts as long as your content is on the platform.

You confirm you have the right to upload what you upload. You are responsible for your content, including anything you publish to other members.

5. Our content, and other people’s

MILO itself — the software, design and our own materials — belongs to Mosaix. Your subscription buys you the right to use it, not to own it.

MILO’s catalog also links to and displays material from third parties, including YouTube, podcast feeds, public RSS sources and open libraries. That material belongs to whoever made it and is governed by their terms. We do not endorse it, and we cannot guarantee it stays available.

6. AI features

Some parts of MILO use AI to draft text, suggest skills or summarise learning. AI output can be wrong or incomplete — treat it as a first draft, and check anything that matters. You remain responsible for what you publish, including anything an AI feature helped you write.

7. Availability

We work to keep MILO running, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, add or remove features. If we remove something substantial from a paid package, you may cancel and we will refund the unused part of that month.

8. Ending this agreement

You may stop using MILO and close your account whenever you like. We may end this agreement if you break these terms, or on 30 days’ notice for any other reason — in which case we refund the unused part of anything you have paid. When an account closes, we delete or anonymise your data as described in the privacy policy. Export anything you want to keep before you close it.

9. Disclaimers

MILO is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. MILO supports learning and career development; it does not provide legal, financial, medical or professional advice, and we do not promise any particular career or business outcome.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, neither Mosaix nor anyone working with us is liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue or lost data. Our total liability for any claim relating to MILO is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

Some states do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

11. Indemnity

You agree to cover our reasonable costs if someone brings a claim against us because of content you uploaded, or because you used MILO in a way these terms do not allow.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute goes to the state or federal courts sitting in New York, and we each agree to those courts hearing it.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change matters to you — anything affecting your rights, your content or what you pay — we will email you at least 30 days beforehand. Carrying on using MILO after a change takes effect means you accept it.
